early flight



This juvenile American robin jumped and fluttered his/her way into my maple thicket and then froze for the next twenty minutes allowing me to circle around and get multiple pictures.

I love them at this stage, revealing their thrush heritage! (and glad you got the mystery bird solved, that can drive a person crazy!)

Nice photography! Never seen a juvenile robin before, only the full red-breast.
