a prosaic post
What could be more mundane than a couch, and a decades old couch at that. But today I got brand new cushions for my twenty-four year old couch, to replace the ones that have had coffee, orange juice, milk, beer, and cat puke spilled on them for twenty-four years.
Of course as soon as John and I had admired the new cushions, and sat on them for a few minutes, it was time to put the red flannel sheet back over them so that the newest generation of cats won't throw up hair balls on these fine pillows. Two of said kittens (Sammie and Tippecanoe) wouldn't lay on the new pillows until we covered them back up with the red flannel sheet.

This so reminds me of a few years ago we bought a new recliner & the day we had it delivered our big Maine Coon adopted it!! We just love our baby's & we don't mind sharing our furniture with them at all!!
As for the kitty fur left behind??? We call feline fur "condiments" in our house!!
Hope you like the new cushions....

The new cushions look great but I think it wise, though, to cover with the cat blanket because of the little accidents that are bound to happen.
Our little black rabbit seems to be very destructive but he has his plastic hutch and a run in the living room! I had planned to let him run about on the floor but he is, as I said, SO DESTRUCTIVE. It is easier to let him tear up a cardboard box in his run, than to let him attack a carpet.

Congrats on the new sofa, I think you've earned it Sue!!! Cat puke, I've cleaned my share. We usually have a throw on furniture now. Hugs...G
