One Single Impression -- Smoke

"Where there's smoke there's fire,"
so the saying goes,
but a smothered fire
billows clouds of black,
while stars burn fierce and clean.
So let me blaze a stellar life,
and leave no smoke behind.

I think a lot about the sky, the universe, but this is an entirely new one for me (thankyou thankyou) the celestial 'smoke' of the burning cosmos! And the perfect photo to go with. Wonderful post, Sue.

Yes, m'am, Sister!

I LOVE this...it's as if it's the
3rd stanza of the poems I wrote.

Here's to burning clean, without aggregates, right through the bone...

Definitely worth a try! There is magic in such a fire. It's a tangent, but it makes me think of the fires my father used to burn at home. The best ones gave off very little smoke. A clean burn from good wood.

You have set my mind to work!

Hi Sue, this sure does go against the "watch my smoke" mentality. I believe your stellar life will reap a greater reward for you.
..
BTW, our stove is misbehaving, two of the burners aren't burning brightly, rather they are smoking the pots black.

You know, I really love this one. It has occurred to me often lately: Shine light, not smoke!
